DIY Halloween Shaker Card Tutorial with Simon Says Stamp New Release!

Hi, crafty friends! This month, I’m thrilled to be the guest designer for Simon Says Stamp, where I’ll be bringing you a series of cool projects. Let’s dive into today’s creation: a shaker card that’s all about sparkly fun

Starting with Acetate Foil Sheets

For the base of our shaker card, I used acetate foil sheets. Remember, these are toner sheets, so it’s crucial to use the right type of foil for the best results. I chose a holographic foil that changes appearance with different angles and lighting—perfect for adding that wow factor!

Constructing the Shaker Card Frame

Once the acetate was foiled, I created a thin black frame using 2 rectangle dies. I started with double sided adhesive to secure the frame to the foiled acetate piece. Next, I added foam tape to allow the shaker pieces some space to move.

Filling the Shaker

Next, I found some coordinating glitter paper and sequins in my stash. I cut the glitter paper to A2 size so that the frame would fit perfectly. Tip – add the sequins in the middle of the glitter paper, then attach the frame. All that was left was adding the perfect size sentiment to compliment the card!

Ready to Shake Things Up? 😉

I hope this walkthrough inspires you to create your own shimmering shaker cards. Whether it’s for Halloween or any other occasion, the possibilities are endless. Tell me if you have tried a shaker card yet and your ideas in the comments—I’d love to see what you come up with!
