Cozy Fall Card Inspiration | Thankful Leaf Card with Honey Bee Stamps
There is something magical about fall. The crisp air, cozy sweaters, and colorful leaves always inspire me. My recent trip to New England completely reignited my love for this season. I could not resist taking photos of the fiery reds, golden yellows, and deep oranges that filled the trees.
Those colors became the heart of today’s project, a bold Thankful card made with the new Honey Bee Stamps October release. I wanted to capture that warm autumn feeling on paper, and this mixed media design does it perfectly.
From Inspiration to Card 🍁

I started with plain white cardstock and built up color and texture using three simple steps.
- Ink Swiping: I dragged green inks across the surface to create a background
- Ink Blending: Next, I added darker green to the edges to create a smooth gradient
- 3D Embossing Folder: Finally, I added texture and depth that brings the background to life.
Once the background was complete, I worked on creating realistic leaves using ink refills, water and watercolor paper. I added some mica sprays then gave the leaf an outline with Shimmer Relief Paste Mayan Gold. I added a bit of this to the vellum boho layer as well.

💛 The Cozy Factor
This project combines everything I love about autumn: rich color, texture, and gratitude. It is one of those cards that feels warm just looking at it.
If you are inspired by nature, try looking through your own photos. A single leaf or color palette can spark a new idea for your next card.
