Simon Says Stamp “Favorite Things” Release

Simon Says Stamp has done it again with their newest release, Favorite Things! This collection is filled with must-have stamps, dies, stencils, and more—perfect for spring and Easter crafting. Today, I’m sharing a clean and simple Easter card featuring spotlight stamping, where I used ink blending directly on the stamp for a soft and artistic look.

Spotlight Stamping with Ink Blending

For this card, I wanted to keep the design clean yet striking, so I focused on spotlight stamping—a technique that highlights a portion of the stamped image while keeping the rest soft and subtle.

Steps to Create This Look:

1️⃣ Ink Blending on the Stamp – Instead of inking my stamp traditionally, I blended soft pastel ink colors directly onto the stamp using a blending brush before stamping onto cardstock. This gives a smooth gradient effect that feels delicate and perfect for Easter.

2️⃣ Adding a Touch of Glitter – To make the card pop, I layered the pretty bows die cuts on the stamped panel with glitter cardstock. The shimmer adds just the right amount of sparkle without overwhelming the clean design.

3️⃣ Finishing with Gems – A few strategically placed gems brought in extra shine while keeping the design simple and elegant.
