Easy Way to Create Stitching Dies
Have you started stitching on your handmade cards? Adding this detail can give a unique look to a handmade card. Stitching dies are expensive, but did you know you can make them out of your own stash of regular dies? Watch full tutorial for all the details.

Today, we will look at the 3D Rosette die from Honey Bee Stamps. This is an easy die to turn into a stitching die as it has many holes around the edges.

I started with patterned paper and dies to build this rosette. I love that this is 3D and could be used in party decor as well as on cards.
For the top of the rosette, I used 2 different ways to create the center hole to start stitching. You can use what you have but I used the We R Makers Crop-a-Dile hole punch and showed a die cut tool to create this.
Next, I added stitching in coordinating colors.

Last, I added a blue pearl sticker to the center of the stitching to coordinate the look further. To add a little more interest, I used heat embossing on the white background and thread behind the rosette. Tell me if you have tried stitching on your cards?
