Create Stunning Cards with Spellbinders’ New Release and Word Die Cuts
Today, I will take you through 2 cards I created with the new release from Spellbinders. These word dies are just what I have been looking for lately! I’ll discuss the importance of not giving up on a card, even when it seems unsalvageable. I persevered with one of these projects and am thrilled with the result.
For the 1st card, I used the new Stitched Hello Die cut and teal floss. I cut the word out of amazing 🤩 sparkly paper from Your Paper Insider (check the links at the bottom of the post).

Have you ever seen stitching with glittered card stock? I love the result!
Next, I did some vellum and more glitter card stock die cutting with the Fresh Picked Labels set that is so fun! Last. I ink blended a matching card front and used “One Stitch at a Time” 3D embossing folder on it.

For the next card, I wanted to try embossing ink directly to the embossing folder. I think I created a mess because I didn’t use enough anti-static powder on the ink blended background first. When I saw it, I almost threw it in the trash. But, I didn’t want to waste such a sparkly piece! So, when in doubt go with MORE sparkle!

I added the same floss from the previous stitching card to soften the background then added that same glittery card stock to make this card look like a disco ball! Last I added the die cut “Happy Birthday” in coordinating colors and the card was saved!
