Chance of Purple Snowflakes: A Fun Winter Stencil Card
If you’ve been watching the winter storm updates lately, you know it’s been a lot. Snow, ice, record weather, and everyone posting about it nonstop.
So I decided to make my own forecast, and honestly, I like mine better 😅
Today’s weather report is calling for a 100% chance of purple snowflakes!
This card is all about crisp stenciling, a fun monochromatic background, and that super satisfying moment when you lift the stencil and everything comes together.
The Card Idea
For this card, I started by ink smooshing different shades of purple to create a soft, subtle background with a little texture. This is one of my favorite ways to make a background feel interesting without adding a bunch of extra steps.
Once that layer was dry, I added the Build a Snowflake stencil to bring in those crisp winter details. To finish everything off, I added a few sparkling embellishments because honestly… winter cards should always have at least a tiny bit of shine ✨

Try This Card With Any Color
Purple is obviously my favorite for this one, but you could easily switch it up and create a whole set of winter cards using the same layout.
A few color combos that would look amazing:
Icy blue
Silver and gray
Deep navy
Teal
White on white
