AECP Project for Impressive Heat Embossing
I created a YouTube video about the process of this card. Please check it out.
I started this card by making all the flowers. I wanted each flower to be slightly different. I used 3 colors of embossing powder and the coordinating distress ink in salvaged patina.
First, I started with the all heat embossed flower and stencil. Next, I applied Versamark ink through the stencil and did layered heat embossing starting with the lightest and moving to the darkest color. The next flower started with ink blending Distress Ink for the first layer then adding 2 more colors with only the embossing powders. The last flower was vellum and started with an ink blended layer then adding 2 darker colors of embossing powder.
Next, I used a technique I learned in class to make this 2 toned sentiment. I love how it turned out!!! I added some ink blended leaves with detailed embossing. Last, I needed to make a background. I used a 3D embossing folder and tried embossing splatter instead of doing this with a metallic paint.
