The June release from Papertrey Ink just went live, and today I’m featuring a new card using some of my absolute favorite items from the collection: the Into the Blooms: Coneflower dies, the Reflections: Romans 8 sentiment die, and a bold greeting from the This is Big Sentiments: Thinking of You set.

But this card isn’t just about pretty florals—it’s all about creating major dimension and adding sparkle in an unexpected way.

A Fresh Take on Die-Cut Dimension

Let’s start with the florals. The Coneflower dies are incredibly detailed on their own, but I wanted to bring them to life even more. I curled each petal upward with a stylus and layered multiple die cuts with just a slight offset. That small shift creates realistic shadow and structure, and it really makes the blooms pop off the card.

To keep the rest of the card balanced, I grounded the florals with soft ink blending and layered die-cut sentiments. But it’s the sparkle that steals the show.

Unexpected Sparkle? Yes, Please

Now here’s the part I think you’ll love: I added sparkle behind the florals using Astro Paste. It’s subtle and adds a magical glint when the light hits. I used a coordinating metallic paper with the Romans 8 sentiment die with shimmer for that extra touch of shine. This paper is from Your Paper Insider.

These little details are what take a card from good to unforgettable.
