The December release from Altenew is here, and it’s packed with inspiration! 🎄✨ I’ve been playing with these amazing products, and today I’m sharing three handmade cards I created to showcase this release. Each one uses a unique technique and highlights different products from the collection. Let’s dive in!

Card 1: Press Plate + Alcohol Ink = Magic!

For this first card, I wanted to keep things bold and artistic. I used a press plate with alcohol inks to create a mesmerizing, one-of-a-kind background. The press plate adds incredible detail, creating a stunning textured background that takes this card to the next level. To keep the focus on that stunning backdrop, I added a simple sentiment and minimal embellishments. This card is a showstopper and perfect for anyone who loves vibrant designs.

Card 2: Dreamy Dahlias + Stone Wall Texture

I couldn’t resist diving into the Dreamy Dahlias set for my second card. This flower bundle is absolutely breathtaking! I used the coordinating stencil to layer colors for a soft yet vibrant look. For the background, I reached for some colored cardstock and the Stone Wall press plate, using a coordinating shade from the Tranquility ink set to bring it all together. The result? A card that feels cozy, elegant, and perfect for any occasion.

Card 3: Translucent Foliage Elegance

This final card is all about texture and shine! I started with the Translucent Foliage 3D embossing folder on colored cardstock (Misty Morning), adding blue ink blending to make the details pop. For the focal point, I stamped one of the flowers on vellum, heat-embossed it with polished silver powder, and added some alcohol ink coloring to bring it to life. To finish, I added a sentiment from the Translucent Foliage set. This card is soft, dimensional, and oh-so-sophisticated!
