Exploring the New Spellbinders Club Release: Wax Seals & 3D Embossing Folders!
Hey crafty friends! 🌟 I’m so excited to dive into Spellbinders’ latest club release—especially their new wax seals and 3D embossing folders! This release is packed with endless possibilities for creating texture and elegance in card making, and I couldn’t wait to share my thoughts with you all. I decided to take a monochromatic approach to this card because I have been dying to use some of the new ribbons and cords from Spellbinders.
Color inspiration
My inspiration for this color combo all started with the Coral Wax Beads, which have a gorgeous mix of four shades of coral and bronze. I always begin by picking my wax seal colors, and this one truly took my breath away with its beautiful blend! From there, I started hunting for ink colors that would bring the whole look together, creating a perfectly coordinated, warm-toned palette for the card.
Embossed Background
The new November 3D embossing folder release is incredibly versatile—perfect for any celebration! For this project, I started by ink-blending the background with Catherine Pooler’s Clay Mask ink, then ran it through my Spellbinders Platinum 6 machine to create a beautiful, textured impression. To finish, I added a touch of Catherine Pooler Polished ink around the edges and softly over the raised design, which gave it that extra bit of dimension and elegance.
To finish, I wrapped some bronze cord and the peachy Viviant ribbon from Spellbinders around the card. Once I placed the wax seal, the look felt complete—nothing else needed!
