Watercolor Tips and Tricks with Zig Clean Color Brush Markers
Hello, everyone! I’m back with another project for my Altenew Educator classes. These techniques are from the class “Creative Coloring with Erum.” I highly recommend this class! I love saving pictures of fun color schemes etc. For all the details, check out my YouTube video.
This picture is my inspiration for this project. I fell in love with this fun look.
First, I white heat embossed the flowers and leaves onto Canson XL watercolor paper. Then, I die cut these images.
Next, I used the Zig Clean Color markers to color the first set of flowers in orange and pink. I colored the second set of flowers with red and purple.
I laid down some color with marker strokes then used my watercolor brush to spread and mix the pigments. Next, I did the leaves in the same way.
For the background, I used the drip technique from Erum. I added water drips then added pigment with the blue marker. Once this was dry, I added some Tumbled Glass to enhance the color and paint splatters in black and white.
Next, it was time to arrange all my flowers and sentiment. Since my inspiration for this card was an explosion of color, I added tons of flowers and leaves.
Finally, I stamped the sentiment with black ink and added a black card stock backing.
