Let’s explore some creative ways to add texture to your card designs. One technique is using stencils to create embossed backgrounds on plain white cardstock. For an extra touch of elegance, try embossing metallic paper.
Next, I want to show you how beautiful embossed backgrounds look on dark card stock!
A community member asked for more purple cards, and I have delivered several. If you have any requests, feel free to comment! This particular card features ink blending and stencil embossing layered over the ink blending.
Next, I tried adding mixed media in the form of the NEW Solar Paste from Simon Hurley. I ink-blended then added the Golden Hour paste to create this interesting finish. I think the solar paste makes the embossing stand out even more for a really cool look!
The last card incorporates 2 techniques. First, I tried ink blending through a stencil, keeping the stencil on the paper and running through die cutting machine to emboss for an amazing textured background. Then, I used 2 different stencils to emboss my die cut flowers.
I used a ton of supplies to create these cards and have listed them all below with my affiliate links. Please click on these if you are shopping to help support my blog. You are awesome! Thank you for your support.
