Slimline Fall “Thankful” Card
This card is easier to put together than you would think. The first step is to use Ken Oliver’s color burst powders on a wet piece of watercolor paper. You can lightly tap the bottles to apply randomly, then use a small brush to blend make sure the entire piece is covered with color. Once the color starts to dry, add the Altenew metallic watercolor droplets in gold. Let the watercolor paper dry overnight. If the paper is warped in any way send it through a hot laminator to flatten it back out.
I find it helpful to put something where the sentiment will go as I stamp around this slimline card. Stamp the leaves in Versamark ink. Cover with Ranger gold fine detail embossing powder. Heat set the embossing powder. Cut the sentiment with die machine. Use olive green cardstock for the bottom layer and gold cardstock for the top layer. Gina K Connect glue was used to adhere all of the pieces. This glue is my favorite because it gives you time to adjust once applied and the tip of the tube is the correct size for most projects.
