Simon Says Stamp Season of Wonder Blog Hop + Prizes!

Hi, friends! Happy World Card Making day! I am so excited to have you hop along today. Someone who comments on my blog will win $25 gift card from Simon Says Stamp. Also, don’t forget the exclusive coupon code only good until tomorrow!! Make sure to watch the full tutorial here

For my first card, I wanted to create a card that was easy to mail 📭 to my friends and family.

I used the new Autumn Cascade layered stencil to create a half wreath. Next, I added a beautiful sentiment from a previous release in black ink. Finally, I used the new Rainbow Splash gems. These gems are the lowest profile of any gem stickers that I have seen so they mail easily without increasing the postage. Plus, they add that extra sparkle that really makes this card extra special.

For the next card, I used the new layered stamp set Fresh Air Holiday. This set has a layered tree that is very airy and beautiful. I decided that I would add more Rainbow Splash gem stickers to create a rainbow tree!

These stickers are so fun! It is hard to capture how much they sparkle ✨ Make sure to leave a comment on this post to be entered to win the $25 gift card from Simon Says Stamp. Thank you so much for stopping by! Leave a comment for a chance to win!🥳

  1. Nicki, I really love Simon Says Stamp’s ink and stamps/stencils. The colors are beautiful and the stamps wonderful! I signed up for all your social media. However, I couldn’t download TikTok. I didn’t have enough storage space on my phone. 🙁

  2. Nicki, I watch a lot of you tube demo’s for card making and I have to say that you are fantastic. You don’t assume I know anything. I love the way you give all the information about what you are doing. You also have a beautiful creative ability and I love everything you do. I have tried making some of your masculine cards for my husband, son in laws and 4 grandsons. Thanks for your inspiration!

    1. This made my day. Thank you so much for such a wonderful compliment! I really appreciate that and I’m so glad you are part of my crafty community

  3. Hi Nicki. I really like your Autumn Cascade wreath card. I think you could color in this stencil for any season of the year. Thank you for mentioning that the gem sticker are low profile. I always worry about my gems ripping the envelope and messing up my card. Also, I like how the Stampwheel holds your stencils. I can’t wait to get one.

  4. I do appreciate the way that you explain directions. You make the cards easy to understand and very doable. Thank you.

  5. Such great cards! I will have to check out those gems… I’m one of those unfortunate folks with a picky post office so have to be careful with bulk on cards I send!

  6. I love how you used a set “intended” for autumn and tweaked it to make it Christmas themed! It inspires me to get into my own craft stash and look at things a little differently. And while I might personally prefer slightly less bling on mine, I loved that Christmas tree!!

  7. I love the color scheme, who would have thought cherry and watermelon for Christmas! Also love the “bulbs” on the tree. Cuticles!

  8. I love those cards! The way you used the ink makes it look almost 3D printed! The depth is exquisite! I’m new to stamps and I would not have thought of Layering them!

  9. The cards are so pretty and the colors are very vibrant. Nice to have some single layer cards for easy mailing.

  10. Thank you for the tips and tricks. I am horrible about looking at my supplies for other ideas. But with help maybe I can learn. 🤔

      1. On my blog, to prevent spam- I have to approve your comments so that’s why it doesn’t immediately show up. But I have it approved now. 💕💕

  11. I love the Fresh Air Holiday stamp card – it is just so bright and fresh. The rainbow gems just add that burst of colour. Love it!

  12. I like the Autumn Cascade card. It works well using all green leaves and looks like a partial wreath. It would be easy to mass produce for the holidays.

  13. Great ideas Nicki! Love how you fixed the oops when you were stamping. I am sure I will be using that soon!

  14. Nice cards. Using the same color to add dimension on a single layer stencil really made it pop!

  15. Thank you for all the stencil hints. My fix for the red boo-boo on the leaf would be to add more red tips to some of the other leaves. That way it’s not a mistake anymore.

  16. What wonderful beautiful cards! Love how they are easy and fast to make! Thanks for sharing! You helped make my card making a lot easier!

  17. Love the clean and simple look of both of these cards. But I especially like the idea of using the Autumn Cascade wreath as a Christmas design.

  18. I love the look of these “simple” holiday cards! Thanks so much for sharing your considerable expertise!

  19. The gems you used to decorate the Christmas tree are so clean and modern. It’s truly joyful!

  20. I had to take a second look and compare the card stamps to the stamp set. Seeing the images in green made it look like a different set. Amazing how different stamps look just by using other colors.

  21. Pretty! The stencil and layered tree stamp give so much dimension, and the embellishments are the perfect finishing touch

  22. Gorgeous cards–love the shiny “ornaments” on your gorgeous tree! Thanks for the inspiration.

  23. Fantastic cards!! I love the first card and like you said, can be easily mailed. I never thought about that stencil set being a partial wreath. That is genius!

  24. The second card is my favorite.
Very creative using the gems to decorate the tree!
Thanks for sharing and the inspiration.

  25. I really like both cards, but I love everything about that tree card! I’m all about the bling, lol.

  26. These may have been fast but they certainly don’t look that way! I love the clean look!

  27. Your Autumn Cascade card it fabulous! For the Tree I don’t think I could have parted with all Of the Gems for One card!😂

  28. Okay you WIN for “Surprise card of the blog hop!!!” Who in the world would have thought to take that Autumn Cascade stencil set and turn it into a PERFECT Christmas card!!!??? Holy moly I LOVE this! I love your xmas tree card too but the winner for me is that “Christmas Cascade” card. That’s what I’m naming it!! 🙂

    1. That’s awesome! Love the name. Thank you so much for such a sweet comment. 💕🥰😊

  29. Thank you for the video. I really enjoyed watching you create these beautiful cards!

  30. These are beautiful. I love working with stencils – they allow for so much creativity.

  31. Love that autumn cascade stencil. I also saw Cathy Z use it today on Craft Roulette.

  32. Like the way you took a Fall stencil and made it Christmas. Like both your cards, which could easily be one layer designs.

  33. I love that tree tho that was a lot of bling you put on there. The gold star did make a big difference so that was a great idea.

  34. Your tree card is amazing! I love all of the ornament embellishments…. such a great video!!!

  35. Wow! Beautiful cards. I love your holly stencil card. The Christmas tree card is amazing. The colored gems are just…wow! Great job.

  36. I enjoyed your video. I love that you used all the colors of gems on the tree. So cute and colorful!

      1. Hi Nicki!
I love stencils! They are fun, quick and give such amazing results! Love both of your festive cards! Thanks for the hop and congratulations on 7,000!

  37. I like both of your cards, but I do have to say that first one really caught my eye! That is a wonderful stencil and that card could be mass produced if you wanted to make a lot of cards very quickly. Love the greens you used for the leaves, and the two-tone reds are so complimentary to the greens. Great job!

  38. I’m impressed that you can make such beautiful cards with a profession and family. I appreciate their simplicity. Using the autumn stencil with Christmas colors is clever.

  39. These leaves work as perfectly for Christmas as for fall! Love this off the page wreath! The Christmas tree is decorated beautifully with the multicolor gems!

  40. I LOVE the Christmas Tree Fresh Air stamps! Definitely purchasing this because of your inspiration, thank you!

  41. I love your Autumn Wreath card, I need to look at my stamps and try your idea. I love wreath cards. Thank you for the inspiration.

  42. I love the colors on the first card and how the black sentiment really pops on top of them. Gorgeous!

    1. Hi Nicki! Both of your cards are very pretty! I love the layered look!! I have never been a big fan of the taste of candy corn, but I wouldn’t necessarily say Ick nor yum. Lol However, I do love how it looks in fall themed decorations and crafts!
