Today, I’m sharing two stunning projects using one of the new embossing folders – Bubble Rings from the “Cheering for You” release. I’ll show you how to add metallic details in two different ways! YouTube video on these cards coming soon! 🎉

Card #1 Add Gold with pigment ink

Start by ink blending your cardstock with the new colors: Dew, Mist, and Raindrop. Next, use the embossing folder to create a gorgeous design on the blended card stock.

To add metallic details, gently swipe the Altenew Antique Gold ink pad across the raised areas of the embossed image.

For even more golden accents, use the Geo-Me-Trees circle die, which fits perfectly with this embossing folder. Die-cut the shape from white cardstock and apply the Altenew gold ink to it. Be sure to let the ink dry completely before assembling the rest of your card.

Once the gold ink is fully dry, it’s time to assemble your card. Add a fun sentiment to the front, and for an extra touch of elegance, include a gold layer behind the “happy birthday” message. This addition ties the design together beautifully.

Card #2 Add Gold with Watercolor

Start by using watercolor paper and the Bubble Rings embossing folder to create a textured background. Next, watercolor the inside of the rings using the new ink pads.

Then, add metallic details to the raised areas of the embossed design with metallic gold watercolor. Set this aside to dry.

Use the same circular die from Geo-Me-Trees to cut out watercolor card stock. Paint both die cuts with gold metallic watercolor.

Last, I added a vellum circle and the “Cheering You On” die cut. I watercolored the die cut lettering with the new ink pads.
