My Card Design

When I started this card, I knew I wanted bold color and strong contrast.

First, I stamped Groovy Daisies repeatedly in the background using Versamark ink. This creates a subtle tone on tone pattern that adds interest without competing with the focal point. It is a simple technique, but it adds so much depth to a card.

Next, I used the same Groovy Daisies image again in a completely different way.

For the focal die cut element, I stamped the daisies with Versamark and heat embossed them using white puff embossing powder.

If you have not tried white puff embossing powder on bold cardstock, you need to. It transforms the look instantly. The raised texture gives dimension, and the bright white creates incredible contrast against colorful backgrounds.

Using the same stamp for both the background and the focal element shows how versatile this design really is. One stamp. Two completely different effects.

Finishing Touches

Of course, I had to add embellishments for sparkle. A few well placed gems or sequins always elevate a bright card and make it feel finished.

The combination of:

• Tone on tone background stamping
• Bold white puff embossing
• Bright color choices
• Sparkly embellishments

creates a card that feels modern, energetic, and eye catching.

Groovy Daisies is such a fun set for experimenting with bold color palettes and texture. You can easily adapt this technique for birthdays, celebrations, or encouragement cards.
