Layering Stencils – 2 Card Ideas
Hello! Thank you for joining me for a look at layering your stencils. This can help you stretch your supplies and save money. We will look at 2 card ideas- one masculine and one feminine. I learned these techniques in my recent Altenew Academy class with Nicole Watt. For all the details, make sure to watch the video.

First, let’s start with the masculine card. Geometric patterns work well for this. I’m starting with the geometric triangle stencil and desert night ink.
After ink blending over this stencil, I add the woven stencil. With a small sponge dabber, I add the gold ink. Here’s the reveal!
Now, for the next panel. For this panel, I used glossy white paper and Lagoon ink. After the first layer was complete, I added the paint splatter stencil and used gold ink again.
I applied the gold ink with a sponge dabber. Next, I needed to get the sentiments ready for both cards. I used the same set “You Matter” to create the sentiments. For the first card, I cut the sentiment out of gold foil paper. I used ink blending on the second card to coordinate the sentiment with the colors.
After ink blending, I added gold embossing powder to the lower half of the word.
Last, I added a few small sequins to the masculine card and some metallic gold thread to the feminine card.
I hope you enjoyed layering stencils with me. Make sure to check the video for all the details. All products are listed and do help support my blog with a small commission if you are going shopping today. Thank you and happy crafting!
