Festive Fun Shaker Card with Simon Says Stamp’s New Release!
Hey, crafty friends! Have you seen the new Festive Fun release from Simon Says Stamp? I’m so excited to share a card I made using some of the goodies from this collection. The Star of the Show: The 3D Embossing Folder
For this card, I started with the Shimmer Lattice 3D Embossing Folder from the Festive Fun release. It’s absolutely stunning! I grabbed some blue cardstock and ran it through my die-cutting machine, letting all that frosty texture pop.
To make those gorgeous details stand out, I lightly brushed white pigment ink over the raised areas. Then added a small amount of foundry wax in sterling to the centers for some extra shine.
Adding the Shaker Element
Who doesn’t love a shaker card? I cut a window in the center of the embossed panel with a snowflake die from Heartfelt Snowflakes. Next, I cut a snowflake with the Heartfelt Snowflake wafer die that fits perfectly inside the other die. I added some foundry wax for extra shine. These little sparkles catch the light so beautifully—it’s like a winter wonderland in card form!
Last, I added a sentiment on vellum paper in polished silver embossing then topped it with the adorable new gems in dusk.
This project is packed with texture, shimmer, and movement—it’s like holding winter in your hands. Plus, the new Simon Says Stamp release makes it so easy to create something festive and fun (hence the name, right?).
I’d love to hear what you think! Have you tried the Festive Fun collection yet? Are you as obsessed with the embossing folder as I am? Let me know in the comments or tag me on Instagram at @nickiheartscards.
Happy crafting, and may your holiday projects be merry and bright!

Quite beautiful! But you used a snowflakedie that fits into another snowflake die.. very obtuse. Could you send me the info in a more specific manner? I looked at the products but still have no idea which die did what. Thank you. (Just thought I should mention I do not do instagram for any reason, nor facebook, etc)
These sets have almost the exact same name so refer to the pictures above in the supply list to see what I mean. I used a snowflake die from the Heartfelt Snowflakes Stamp/Die set to cut the opening. Next, I used the individually released Heartfelt Snowflake Wafer die to create the blue/silver snowflake. One of these dies is just an outline because it is meant to cut out a stamped image, the other die is detailed and meant to stand on it’s own. I don’t know if they made them specifically to fit how I used them but they fit perfectly. Does that make more sense?
