Easy Card Recipe with Supplies You Already Own
Stuck on what to do with the fun backgrounds you create or just stuck with no ideas? In my latest video, we talk about using a card recipe to get you out of a rut and back to creating. I will be using the BetterPress to create my backgrounds. I’ll guide you through using what you have to create the same easy card recipe. Click HERE or image to go to full tutorial!
First, let’s look at an easy way to spice up a background with ombre` ink blending. I will be using 3-4 colors in a blue family on 3 panels. I used BetterPress plates to create this background but you could use stamping, stenciling, foiling or ink blending.
Next, find some amazing large sentiments to highlight on the card.
Next, add you extra details. This card uses a large frame and some gem stickers. You could use large frames or shapes.
For the second easy card, grab one of the backgrounds you created and some ribbon.
I added 2 sentiments to this panel over the beautiful navy ribbon that I found in my craft room.
Next, add some excitement by creating a shaker card with the frame we used in the first card.
Quick shaker elements make a card interactive which is very fun for the recipient. Last, my favorite easy card because it looks so intricate!
For this background, I ink blended in light color on the BetterPress plate. Pressed that design into the paper and then added a darker color in the center of each flower and pressed again.
Next, I partially die cut the sentiment on a diagonal.
You must see this one up close as I added tiny glass beads to the center of the flowers for even more!
