Card Making Hack – Get More from Your Supplies!
Did you know this hack? You can use a cover die as a stencil? Let’s get more from our supplies with these ideas. This card is part of an Instagram hop for prizes and is a collaboration between Catherine Pooler and Picket Fence Studios. Click HERE to go to Instagram.
For the background, I used the Eternal Flame cover plate die to cut a sturdy piece of card stock. Next, I used this as a stencil over my navy card stock. I used the Picket Fence Studios paper pouncers and the new silver metallic ink from Catherine Pooler to create this beautiful design.
Next, I used a mason jar stamp and die set to create the shaker element on this card. The “snow” was created with PFS paper glaze luxe to create lots of dimension. The sentiment is from the Warm & Bright stamp set. I used heat embossing to give the sentiment its bright white quality.
Have you tried this card making hack of making your own stencils out of other supplies? I would love to hear about your hacks in the comments. Make sure to join the Instagram hop for a chance at a gift card to Catherine Pooler and Picket Fence Studios.
