Bright Colored Cards with the NEW Rainbow Splash
Are you a fan of bright-colored cards or rainbows? You must see the new collection from Simon Says Stamp. This collection works for beginners to advanced card makers. I kept my designs simple to show the versatility of this new line.
First, I used an embossing folder to create a simple white embossed background. Next, I did some ink blending with the new ink colors: Crimson, Pumpkin, Dandelion, Lime, Lake, and Heather. This ink-blended panel is what I used behind the white background.
Don’t waste the middle of the ink-blended panel! I cut out the middle with some rectangle dies and saved it for card #2.

Next, I went crazy with the rainbow gems! I love these colorful accents. These gems have adhesive on the back, so I placed them around the edges of a circle and stamped “Happy Birthday” in the center. This quick and colorful card makes me smile!
For card #2, I started with the center panel cut from my ink blending.

Once again, trying to keep it simple and bright, I added 2 die-cut balloons using the coordinating rainbow paper. Next, I stamped “Happy Birthday” on the card. Then, I used an embossing folder on plain white paper to create more texture.

Next, I added some silver thread to the back of the balloons and some glossy accents to the balloon card stock. Last, I added some more gems to the card.
