Altenew June Inspiration Challenge- Using Layered Stamps

Today, I am taking part in the Altenew June Inspiration Challenge! It involves a color inspiration card making  challenge and you can win a chance to be a guest designer on a blog hop. You know I love Altenew and this would be a great opportunity. Let me know how you think I did with the challenge in comments.

Let’s start with the YouTube video I created for this project. All the details of the card with 2 NEW ideas on how to use your layered stamps!

Stamping:

First, I started with the Beautiful Day stamp set. I wanted to create a bold card with lots of color in my flowers, so I took the stamp pad directly to the stamp to create intense color.

Coloring:

After completing all the layers of this stamp, I decided to add the outline in Magenta ink.
Next, I die cut the flowers and add Faber Castell Polychromos pencils to enhance the details of the layered stamp set.

Adding Metallic Splatter:

With the leaves, I created the color by ink blending the color onto the stamp. Then I used metallic watercolor to splatter these and the flowers with gold flecks. Next, I created the background with the Organic Linen embossing folder. The background was splattered with gold, fuchsia and orange dream.

After the background dried, I added some foam backing and placed it on Jet Black card stock. Next, I added some metallic thread and placed my flowers on top of this. Last, I stamped a sentiment and placed it on the card!

  1. You really make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this topic to be actually something that I think I would never understand. It seems too complex and very broad for me. I am looking forward for your next post, I’ll try to get the hang of it!

  2. To tell the truth, I am so glad that I came across your article because I think that creating such a bold card is a wonderful opportunity to fulfill your creative potential and find a source of inspiration. I really like your approach to making this card because it is very original and not typical. I really like that this card is truly universal and you can apply it in different cases. It has such a unique concept and It is so cool that you decided to make these flowers because they create such a spring mood. I really like flowers because they are the epitome of tenderness and beauty, filling you up with the most wonderful emotions. Also, I really like this laconic inscription because it is performed in such a down-to-earth style and it does not commit to anything. For me, everything looks so harmonious in this card and all details perfectly complement each other, creating such an impeccable external component.
