AECP Creative Watercolor Media Class Project
Hi, everyone! I am back with another fun project for my Altenew Educator Certification Program. This class was about creative watercolor media. For my project today, I will be using Dylusions ink spray to watercolor. I created a detailed video to go with this card.
I started with the an image from the Altenew watercolor book. First, I heat embossed the sentiment onto the coloring page. Next, I used post-it note tape to secure the page to my media mat.
Next, I used the Altenew watercolor brushes to add some water to the first petal. For the colors, I used Dylusions spray ink and poured this into my palette.
To add the color, I put a small amount of the spray ink to the end of my brush and started the process of coloring the petals.
This was repeated for each petal. Once the petals were finished, I used Dylusions spray ink in dirty martini to color the stem and leaves. Last, I needed to work on the background. I used another Dylusions spray ink in London blue and my altenew watercolor brush.
Once the panel dried, I removed the post-it tape and added some glossy accents to the center of the flower. No card is complete without some bling, so I added some clear sequins. All that was left was to mount this to a 5×7 card base.
I hope you enjoyed this fun card! Links to all the products will be listed and please leave me a comment if you loved this card!
