Christmas in July with Spellbinders

Hi, everyone! These essential diamond dies are not traditionally Christmas/Holiday, but I wanted to show you how you could create a clean and simple holiday card using them. I am struck by the amount of people that have struggled getting motivated to get their Glimmer machine out of the box. Make sure to check out my tutorial and get started hot foiling!

First, I used the glimmer machine and the diamond hot foil plate. I created 3 diamonds from the Shimmer Holidays set in green, red and gold.

Next, I used the essential diamonds dies to cut these into 3 sizes, so that I could stack the diamonds.

Then, I created the background with white card stock and 2 rectangles from the Glimmer Essential Rectangles set. Instead of hot foiling with these, I used them to emboss the background.

I ran these hot foil dies through my Spellbinders Platinum 6 to emboss them.

Last, I used the “Create a Christmas Sentiment” dies on black card stock. I stacked several layers together, then added glossy accents to the sentiment. Next, I attached this to the diamonds. All that was left was to add some embellishments and mount the card on black card stock.
