2 Masculine Card Making Ideas with NEW Video
Today, I will be showing 2 masculine card ideas using a new release at Scrapbook.com from Stacey Park. I really love the geometric background options in this set. We will look at using monochromatic color schemes to create a beautiful effect. See the new video tutorial on the Scrapbook.com YouTube channel today.
I started with a monochromatic color scheme which is very easy to do with Catherine Pooler inks and many other brands that create colors for layered stamping (like Altenew, etc).
Let’s start with the stenciled card. This layered stencil has 4 layers which was perfect for the number of colors I was hoping to use. Each layer of the stencil is a different color making stenciling fast and easy.
For some extra detail, I added a vellum band with lunar paste on the edges to create a silver element. Next, I die cut the 2-layer sentiment. The letters are from Altenew Brushed Silver card stock and the shadow uses ink blending to create a perfect match to the card.
The second card utilizes a background stamp. I love this pattern and can’t wait to use this on other projects. To get the variability in color, I used all 4 ink pads randomly applied to the stamp.
Next, I used a die to emboss metallic paper to create the band. Last, I used ink blending in the same colors used on the background to create a 2 layer sentiment. Make sure to catch the video for all the details. Click HERE to go to video. I hope you enjoyed these 2 masculine card ideas!
