2 for 1 Card- Easy 🥳 Fun Fold Inspired by Jennifer McGuire
Are you familiar with the concept of fun fold cards? This one offers a unique 2-in-1 design, where the recipient can detach the middle section and send it to a friend. I discovered this technique during a class led by Jennifer McGuire at Simon Says Create. Check out the video for all the details⬇️
To begin the project, you will need to cut and score the card stock in a way that allows the card to open and reveal its interior. I designed the card to be simple, so it shouldn’t take any longer to make than a regular card.
To make this A2 sized card, I vertically cut an 8.5 x 11 piece of white card stock in the center and scored it at 2.75 in from both sides. This formed the first layer of the card, while the interior portion of the card is a horizontal, top-folding A2 card. I trimmed about 1/8 in from the sides and bottom to ensure easy sliding in and out.
Last, I added the design to the front and interior panels. I stamped the front with a peony background and used ink smooshing to create the colorful design. Next, I used some ombre ink blending on the center of the card insert.
I just love how it turned out and that this happy mail can easily be sent to multiple people, spreading happiness 😀 Make sure to click the links below to help support me as a creator! I appreciate all of you so much!
